Jayhawk Generations Scholarship
Because every generation should be able to say “Rock Chalk!”
You’re a Jayhawk, through and through. And even though you live out of state, you so want to go to school on Mount Oread. The Jayhawk Generations Scholarship can help make that happen.
To receive the scholarship, a student must apply by Nov. 1 and:
- Be an admitted first-time freshman whose parents, step-parent, legal guardian, grandparent or step-grandparent earned a degree at KU.
- Have a 3.5 or above high school grade-point average.
- To continue receiving the scholarship, recipients must pass 30 credit hours per year with at least a 3.4 GPA.
The 2013-14 scholarships are on a three tier system:
| Tier 1 | 28 ACT/1250 SAT 3.5 GPA/4.0 scale | $46,700 over four years ($11,675 per year)* |
| Tier 2 | 26-27 ACT/1170-1240 SAT 3.5 GPA/4.0 scale | $27,432 over four years ($6,858 per year)* |
| Tier 3 | 24-25 ACT/1090-1160 SAT 3.5 GPA/4.0 scale | $18,288 over four years ($4,572 per year)* |
