New student fee

After being accepted to KU, first-time freshmen, transfer students, and undergraduate international students applying for the summer or fall term must pay the $350 new student fee.

Incoming freshmen: The fee is due May 1. We recommend paying by February 1 to get the best dates for a New Student Orientation session. We will offer refunds until May 1,2012.

Transfer students: The fee is due July 15. We recommend paying by February 1 to get the best dates for a New Student Orientation session. We will offer refunds until July 1,2012. Note: Transfer students admitted for the spring term do not need to pay the new student fee.

International students: For Summer admission the deadline is June 1. For Fall admission, the deadline is July 15. Refunds will be available only to students who pay the fee before the deadline.
